Does the preset make the image exactly 50 KB?

It targets a practical 48–50 KB window. The finished byte size varies slightly with image content and browser encoding.

Can I enter exact dimensions too?

Yes. Turn on exact pixel dimensions and enter the required width and height. RulePix centre-crops to fill that frame without stretching the image.

Does HandyTrove store the photo?

No. The browser decodes, resizes, compresses, and downloads the image locally. HandyTrove never receives the file.
