Why this profile is check-only
When you use a photo taken on your own device, GOV.UK tells you to include the head, shoulders, and upper body and not crop the photo yourself. The passport application performs the crop.
What RulePix checks
RulePix checks the original file type, file-size range, and minimum pixel dimensions. It does not re-encode, resize, crop, or download a replacement.
What still needs human attention
The photo must be clear, in colour, unaltered, taken against a plain light background, and follow the current pose and expression rules. Review the current GOV.UK digital photo guidance.
